First General Meeting on the Tempus IV project Tuning Russia

First General Meeting on the Tempus IV project Tuning Russia took place on the 27th of April in DSTU. TDSTU rector, professor B.Ch. Meskhi greeted the project participants on the plenary session. Tuning project coordinator , DEUSTO University,Spain, vice-rector , professor Julia Gonzalez underlined that project realization will help to improve the system of higher professional education in Russia, moreover it will enable Russia to integrate successfully into the European educational area.

Academic Council sitting

Don State Technical University is a host of the First General Meeting of Tuning Russia Tempus project. On the 26th of April in the frame of this event DSTU Academic Council took place where Professor Julia Maria Gonzalez Ferreras, Vice-Rector of DEUSTO University, Bilbao, Spain is awarded with the title of Honorary Professor of DSTU for a major contribution to Tuning methodology promotion in the educational system of DSTU, for the support of DSTU integration into the European educational area and active assistance in the national centers for the adoption of innovative technology in Education.

Seminar on Tempus IV Draft Programme

On 26-29 April 2011 the First General Meeting of Tuning Russia Tempus project will take place at Don State Technical University. Vice-rector of Deusto University (project co-ordinator) Julia Gonzalez will present the project issues. Leading European Experts of Tuning methodology and Russian co-beneficiaries will participate in this event.

International Cooperation

Rector of DSTU, PhD in Science, professor Meskhi B.C. signed the Agreement on strategic partnership and collaboration in educational, research and technological, innovative activities between state scientific institution of National Academy of Sciences 'Powder Mettallurgy Institute', Belarus, and state educational institution of higher vocational training 'Don State Technical University' on 21 April.

Don State Technical University holds a specific place in the educational park of the southern region. About 22,000 students get education at 16 faculties, majoring in over 100 fields (specialities) of the higher vocational education, including 16 Master's programmes, 23 specialities of the secondary vocational education.
